       2012 YUMA INVITATIONAL SOCCER CUP &

                    Youth Skills Soccer Clinic

        U-23 & U-17 Double Header Soccer Cup and Youth Skills Soccer Clinic

March 31st,2012 – Yuma, Arizona—The South West Arizona Youth Soccer Academy SWAYSA  is excited to announce that they are bringing an International Invitational Soccer Cup to Yuma. There will be a U-23 All Star Team from Palm Springs and San Bernardino and a  U-17 team from Mexico that will compete against All Star teams from Yuma, AZ. SWAYSA will be having a Youth Skills Clinic for all local youth prior to the Games. The clinic will be hosted by Coaches from local High Schools and AWC. Both the Invitational Cup and Clinic will be held at the Veterans Memorial Stadium at Gila Ridge High School in Yuma.
The Youth Skills Soccer Clinic will begin sign ins at 1p.m. and start time will be at 2p.m. on March 31st, 2012 for ages 9 to 17. Entry to the Youth Skills Soccer Clinic will include passes to the Soccer Cup games, a T-shirt and a soccer ball. The cost for the skills clinic will be $25 and Tickets to the games will be $20 for both games.
The Yuma Invitational Soccer Cup game 1, U-23 will begin at 5p.m. and the U-17 game will start at 7p.m. All proceeds from this event will benefit future youth soccer from the SWAYSA organization as well as local school and college soccer programs.

 “I’m looking forward to the higher standard of soccer that will be brought to Yuma from this event on March 31st” said Soccer coach Jamie Nicewander, of Kofa H.S., “ I’m also excited that the USA will get to see all the local talent that we have right here in Yuma and that this will put Yuma on the map for soccer”.
